Training with adult airway infarction and CPR models is an important part of medical education and first aid training. Here are detailed steps on how to train using the model:
1. Preparation
Ensure model status: First, check that the adult airway infarction and CPR models are in working order, especially to ensure that the power supply is adequate and the model components are intact.
Prepare first aid tools: Prepare the necessary first aid tools, such as first aid kits, gloves, masks, etc., to ensure that you can simulate the real first aid environment during the simulation training.
Setting simulation scenarios: According to training needs, set corresponding simulation scenarios, such as airway infarction, cardiac arrest, etc., so that students can perform actual operations in the simulated environment.
Second, simulation training
Self-rescue abdominal shock method (suitable for patients with incomplete airway obstruction and conscious) :
Students hold a hollow fist with one hand, and place the thumb side on the two fingers above the umbilicus of the model abdomen and under the xiphoid process.
The other hand firmly grasp the fist, both hands at the same time quickly inward, upward impact 5 times, each impact action should be clearly separated.
Repeat the procedure several times until the foreign object is removed.
Supine chest impact (for unconscious patients) :
Students place the model in a supine position and ride on the outside of the model's thighs.
The positioning of the chest impact hand is the same as that of the external chest heart extrusion. The palm roots of the two hands overlap, and the rapid impact is 5 times, and the interval of each impact should be clear.
Repeat the procedure several times to check whether the foreign object has been discharged.
If the foreign body is not discharged, continue the operation and check the breathing and heartbeat. If breathing and heart stop, start CPR immediately.
3. CPR operation
In case of cardiac arrest in the model, perform CPR:
Make sure the model lies on its back on a hard, flat surface and unbutton the top to expose the chest.
Students kneel on one side of the model with their hands folded and their palm roots placed on the lower part of the model's sternum.
Perform external chest compressions at a rate of 100-120 times per minute, with a depth of at least 5 cm each.
After 30 compressions, open the airway and give 2 rescue breaths.
Repeat the above steps until the model's heartbeat resumes or a professional takes over.
Iv. Summary and feedback
After the training, summarize and feedback the trainees' operation, point out the shortcomings in the operation and the places that need improvement, so that the trainees can continuously improve their first aid skills in the future training.
